Help save our
Toronto Community Housing Communities!

Dear Constituent,
The recent success at City Hall is a testament to the power of invested
communities and tireless activism. Protecting our communities and our
services requires constant vigilance. At Queen’s Park, I continue to urge Minister Wynn not to approve the proposed sale of over 700 TCHC homes. Recent comments by Minister Wynn ("Housing Minister not yet sold on sale of city owned houses", The Toronto Star) give us every reason to continue our efforts to save TCHC housing.
Last December my office sent out a Call to Action and began circulating a petition.

The response has been heartening.
- Over 200 signatures have already been collected and read into the official record of Queen's Park (see transcripts here, Ctrl+F=>type"Affordable Housing").
- 200 more signatures are waiting to be read-in once the legislature resumes in February.
- Over 600 people have visited the TCHC petition section of our website. www.rosariomarchese.ca/tchcpetition
- Resident’s Associations are circulating our petition to their membership.
- Over 200 people have downloaded the petition.
Next Steps?
We are organizing petition drives throughout Trinity-Spadina.
Our goal is to collect as many signatures as possible to be read into
the Legislature as soon as it resumes.
