Dear Ms. Abrams and Ms. Laskin:

I was sorry to read of the suspension of Emil Cohen.

I believe strongly that students like Emil Cohen who are active in their schools and who speak up respectfully about school issues of concern should be applauded – not punished. 

I encourage you to consider reversing Mr. Cohen’s suspension and issuing an apology to him.

Let’s all work together to support student engagement and free expression in our schools.
